Why your loan set-up beats a lower rate
How the way your home loan, offset and everyday accounts are arranged changes the date you finish paying — without changing what you earn or how you live. Almost nobody gets shown this.

Because a 30-year loan is not a plan. It is a timetable — and in the early years, most of your repayment goes to the bank as interest, not to paying off your home.
You are doing everything you were told to do. Pay on time. Pay a bit extra when you can. Put your tax refund on it in a good year. And still, five or six years in, the number on your statement has hardly moved.
At the same time, there is the offset account nobody showed you how to use properly. The credit card you keep meaning to pay off. The money you pulled back out of your loan for the car, telling yourself you would catch up later.
At the current rate, you'll still be making this repayment in your sixties.
Every holiday, every school fee, every maybe next year gets weighed against a loan that was built to last a very long time.
And the bank will not call you with a faster way out. Interest is not an accident. It is how they make their money.
Where each repayment goes on a typical 30-year home loan.
You are still paying in your sixties. In the early years, most of each repayment goes to interest, not to paying off your home.
Same income. Same lifestyle. The only change is where your money goes and when — and small changes early make a big difference later.
Example only, comparing a 30-year loan with a faster payoff. Your own result depends on your loan, your rate, your income and how closely you follow the plan. This is not financial advice.
Move the three sliders to match your loan. Nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is saved — this works entirely on your own phone.
Estimate only, for general information. It assumes your interest rate stays the same for the whole term and it does not include fees, offset balances, redraws or rate changes. It is not financial advice and not a promise of any result. The workshop shows you how people find the extra repayment without earning more — and every attendee can get a free personalised plan built on their real numbers within 14 days.
Crown Money was started in 2004 by Scott Parry for a blunt reason: banks are built to keep you in debt as long as possible, because that's where the profit is. So he built the opposite — a system that uses the money you already earn to pay the loan down faster, while you keep living your life.
It is called the Home Ownership Programme. It works like a personal trainer, but for your money — Crown Money calls it a "cash diet". It is not a budget you will give up on. It is a set-up that keeps working even on the weeks you stop thinking about it.
It has now been run with more than 7,500 Australian families — and on average, another one of them becomes completely mortgage-free every 23 days.
Every Saturday, we teach the heart of it for free. No cost, no catch, no card.

Module 01
How the way your home loan, offset and everyday accounts are arranged changes the date you finish paying — without changing what you earn or how you live. Almost nobody gets shown this.
Module 02 · Most requested
What it really means: slowly turning your home loan (where you get no tax break) into a loan that buys things which earn you money (where you often do). We cover the order the steps must happen in, who it suits, and — honestly — the risks that make it wrong for some people.
Module 03
How to find real spare money inside the income you already earn. Not a budget with 40 categories that you give up on in three weeks — something your household can actually stick to.
Module 04
Set it up once, so every dollar has a job the moment it arrives. Savings, a safety buffer and extra loan repayments all happen on payday, whether you think about it or not.
Module 05
The steps that take you from paying off your home to having money coming in without you working for it — and why doing these steps in the wrong order costs you years.
Module 06 · The second hour
A full hour of open questions. Bring your loan balance, your interest rate and your set-up, and ask anything. For most people, this is the hour where it all clicks.
No surprises. Your camera stays off, nobody's put on the spot, and you're free to leave after the first hour with the full workshop under your belt.
Join early, test your audio, say hello in the chat. Cameras stay off the whole time — you're not on display.
Modules 1 through 5, live, with the numbers on screen. One hour, tightly run, no filler and no pitch.
Ask anything: your structure, your rate, whether debt recycling suits you, what to do about the credit card. Stay as long as it's useful, drop off whenever you like.
We show you how to claim your free personalised payoff plan, and explain how the Home Ownership Programme works for anyone who wants one-on-one help. Both entirely optional — plenty of people just take the information and use it themselves.
Debt recycling means slowly turning the debt on your home — the kind that gives you no tax benefit — into debt used to buy investments that earn you money, which in Australia can often give you a tax benefit.
You owe about the same amount, but your money is doing a very different job. Done in the right order, your home loan gets smaller while your investments start to grow underneath it — instead of waiting twenty-five years to start.
Done in the wrong order, or without enough spare money each month, it can go badly wrong. That is why we teach the steps and the safety checks, not just the good news.
Get the full walkthrough — freeDebt recycling means more of your money is invested, and it only works if you reliably have spare money each month. Investments can fall in value, interest rates can rise, and the tax benefit depends on setting the loan up correctly. It genuinely does not suit everyone — we will show you how to tell whether it suits you. This is general information only, not personal advice.
I'm on track to pay off my mortgage now in 10 years instead of 30 — just by being on the programme.Matthew A. · Crown Money client
The best financial decision I've ever made was having the good fortune to hear about you when I was organising my mortgage. I'm on track to pay off my mortgage now in 10 years instead of 30 just by being on the programme and I can't sing the praises of Crown Money enough.

We have been amazed at how quickly we have been paying off the principal of our home loan and wish we engaged Crown Money 8 years ago when we purchased our family home. With our previous mortgage structure, it felt like it was never going to end… The financial freedom we are now feeling is something we thought we wouldn't be experiencing for at least another 15+ years.

We were a bit sceptical before joining this program at first and thought it was a little too good to be true. Needless to say, we are so grateful… We have never saved so much and we love having the much-needed support and guidance from Craig and the team.

Crown Money isn't a course someone launched last year. It's an Australian firm that has been reducing mortgages since 2004, has helped more than 7,500 families, and gets audited by awards panels and a professional body while doing it.

We'd rather you skip it than sit through two hours that were never going to help.
Not everyone wants coaching, and that's completely fine. Some people just want a sharper interest rate and the confidence to run the strategy themselves.
Crown Money has a mortgage broking arm for exactly that — an award-winning, MFAA-accredited broking team who will compare loans from many lenders to find you a good interest rate. There is no requirement to join the Home Ownership Programme at all.
Come to the workshop either way — learn how it works, then decide whether you would rather we guide you through it step by step, or simply get you a better interest rate. Ask us about broking in the questions hour, or just call us.
Scott Parry founded Crown Money in 2004 out of plain frustration. Working in finance, he could see the design clearly enough: the longer a customer stays in debt, the more interest the bank collects. The 30-year term isn't an accident.
So he built the counter-move — a strategy that lets homeowners use their existing income far more effectively, attacking the principal hard while still living the life they actually want. Not austerity. Structure.
Two decades on, Crown Money has grown from a small boutique firm into one of Australia's most awarded money management specialists, with a team of financial strategists, brokers and post-settlement coaches who stay with families for the long haul.
See you on Saturday.Scott Parry — Founder & CEO, Crown Money
It's genuinely free — no credit card, no obligation, nothing to buy on the call. Crown Money runs this because the fastest way to show Australians that the maths works is to show them the maths. At the end we explain how the Home Ownership Programme works for anyone who wants their own numbers modelled one-on-one. That's optional, and plenty of people simply take the material and use it themselves.
Every person who attends a session can request their own written payoff plan, built around their actual loan, and Crown Money sends it within 14 days. It is free, and there is no obligation attached to it. The workshop teaches you the method; the plan shows you what that method looks like applied to your own numbers. Bring your loan balance, interest rate and repayment amount on the day so we can build it accurately.
Yes, and please do. Your partner, your parents, an adult child, a friend, a neighbour — bring whoever you like, at no cost. Money decisions made by one person in a household almost never stick, so the more of your household in the room the better. You can all watch from the same Zoom link, or register separately if you'd each like your own materials and reminders.
Because this is not budgeting. A budget asks you to remember and resist, every week, forever — which is why budgets fail. The cash diet works on set-up and automation instead: your accounts are arranged so that spare money moves on payday, before you can spend it. You are not being asked to have more willpower. You are being asked to change the set-up once.
Start times alternate week to week — one Saturday runs 11:00am–1:00pm, the next runs 3:00pm–5:00pm, so there's a slot that suits most weekends. The next session's exact time is shown at the top of this page and in your confirmation email.
On whether it's worth it: put it against the alternative: the difference between a 30-year payoff and a 15-year one is, for most Australian mortgages, a very large number — and years of your life not spent making that repayment. Two hours to understand whether that's available to you is a reasonable trade. And you're welcome to leave once the teaching hour is done.
Healthy scepticism — most of our clients started there too. Four things worth checking: Crown Money has been operating since 2004, it has now helped more than 7,500 Australian families, it's a Full Member of the MFAA (#838012), and it's been named a winner at the Better Business Awards and FBAA awards repeatedly, most recently in 2026. Beyond that, the workshop is free precisely so you can judge the substance yourself before any money or commitment is involved.
Debt recycling means slowly turning your home loan debt, which gives you no tax benefit, into debt used to buy investments that earn you money — which in Australia can often give you a tax benefit. You may end up owing a similar amount overall; what changes is the job each dollar of debt is doing. It does carry real risk: more of your money is invested, it only works if you reliably have spare money each month, investments can fall in value, and the tax benefit depends on setting the loan up correctly. The workshop covers the steps and the safety checks. This is general information, not personal advice.
Register anyway — you'll get the session details by email, and if something comes up you can come along next Saturday instead at no cost. That said, the second hour is a live Q&A shaped entirely by attendees' own questions, so live is where most of the value sits.
No account needed — just tap the link in your email on a phone, tablet or computer. Your camera and microphone stay off the whole time; nobody can see or hear you. You ask questions by typing in the chat. Bring your current loan balance, interest rate and repayment amount if you can — it makes the Q&A hour far more useful.
Yes. There's no jargon and no assumed knowledge, and the whole approach exists precisely because spreadsheet discipline doesn't work for most people. If you can read your loan statement, you'll follow every minute of it.
The principles apply to both owner-occupied and investment debt, and debt recycling in particular is aimed at homeowners who want to start building a portfolio. If your mortgage is nearly gone, Modules 5 and 6 — passive income and the investment sequence — are the ones you'll get the most from.
You'll get your Zoom link, a couple of reminders so you actually show up, and a follow-up afterwards. That's it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, your details are never sold or shared, and you can read exactly what Crown Money does with them in the Privacy Policy.
Then talk to our broking team. Crown Money is an award-winning, MFAA-accredited mortgage brokerage as well as a money management firm, so if you would rather do it yourself, we can simply compare loans from many lenders and find you a good interest rate — with no requirement to join the Home Ownership Programme. Come to the workshop anyway, learn the mechanics, then ask about broking in the Q&A hour or call 1300 882 981.
The free workshop runs every single Saturday, and you're welcome at as many as you like. For clients who go on to join the Home Ownership Programme, the support is ongoing and hands-on — Crown Money has a dedicated post-settlement team of financial coaches and client care staff who stay with families for years, not a handover at settlement. The years after you start are the ones that decide the outcome, which is why the hand-holding continues.
No. The workshop is general information and education only. It doesn't take your personal financial situation, objectives or needs into account and doesn't constitute formal financial or personal advice. Consider whether it's appropriate to your own circumstances, and seek professional advice, before acting on anything discussed. Crown Money's Target Market Determinations are available on the main site.
Come and see the numbers for yourself. If they work for your situation, you will know exactly what to do next. If they do not, you have spent two hours on a Saturday and come away understanding your own home loan far better.
